The Looking Sideways art show opened last night at the Vans Wängl Tängl Presented by G-Shock in Mayrhofen, Austria. A couple of hundred party-goers and art fans checked out works on display by Fos, French, Blaise Rosenthal, Ed Templeton, Tristan Huber, Corey Smith, Schoph, Danny Wainwright, Danny Larsen and Tim Karpinski.
This Spring, Supreme will be releasing a new version of the Vans MC. The MC will feature a suede nubuck upper with a vulcanized waffle outsole and reflective tongue. The MC will be available in four colorways made exclusively for Supreme. Available in-store in NY, LA, London and online on March 8th. Available in Japan on March 10th.
Vans teamed up with levi maestro on the Old Skool Decon 77, to create this nice vulcanize shoe with a full leather and sued upper and a really colorfull bottom. Available Friday January 27th at UNDEFEATED.COM
Vans is not only known for it’s amazing exterior of sneakers, but their “Waffle Sole” that is placed on the bottom of every single Van sneaker. Due to it’s popularity, they’ve decided to even produce an iPhone case using the waffle detailing. Vans California releases three new perforated colorways of their popular Zapato Del Barco for Fall 2011. Each takes on a tonal suede upper, with off-white midsoles and contrast stitching, along with an almond leather hit on the heel. From the Vans California Fall 2011 Collection we take a closer look at the Era Wingtip CA ‘Wool Pack’. Three colorways of the low top sneaker come with mixed leather/wool uppers, featuring the iconic wingtip detail, making them a little more sophisticated. We really like the contrasting light beige/grey wool version.
Vans is releasing a canvas sneaker called Core Zero Lo and it will be available from September onwards. The shoe is featuring a classic vulcanized tooling pretty thick that gives a stable look. Vans and Supreme present the second collaboration of the season. The Era comes in three colorways with animal print on the canvas upper and leather heel tab. The Chukka comes with a canvas upper, leather lining and leather heel tab detail in several colorways. The two collaborative sneakers will release online and in-store on May 26th and in Japan on May 28th.
The stylist Robert Verdi, had the brilliant idea of adding a series of vintage Hermes silk scarves to the classic Vans Slip-On sneaker. Each sneaker features a Hermes silk scarf upper, perfect for the summer with its colorful graphic uppers.
Here’s an excellent novelty product from Vans. Drawing on their age-old waffle sole, the California skate label has produced a run of rubber coasters embossed with the trademark grip seen on most Vans footwear, the coasters come in circular or square shapes.
